Founded in 1884 by Leon Breitling, the Breitling company was located in the Grenchen. During the 1950s and 1960s, this brand started to their plan to conquer the sky. And the success came quickly with the design of a watch called Navitimer, in 1952. This model featured a circular slide rule that could perform all the calculations that a flight plan requires, favored by a great number of people quickly at that time. Next, Breitling became more famous as the “official supplier for the aviation world”, and even listed as the official watch of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)-the most important organization of pilots in the world.
